Pinnacle Release Sell Out

  • June 2015  MEDIA RELEASE

Mirvac is close to a complete sell-out of its 900 lot masterplanned community, Harcrest in Wantirna South, as the final stage, ‘Pinnacle’, sold out its first release of 65 lots over the weekend.

Demand for the land was oversubscribed, with a number of purchasers who have family roots in Wantirna South returning to the area from across Melbourne, while repeat Harcrest purchasers were also keen to snap up one of the last allotments. Primarily owner occupiers, most buyers were looking to build new homes for their families in the highly successful masterplanned community.

Featuring courtyard-sized land lots and larger lifestyle packages suited to family homes, the release cemented the strong consumer demand to live in well-located and well-designed neighbourhood communities.

Mirvac will now bring forward the launch of the highly anticipated final Mirvac Terrace Homes located on Panorama Drive opposite the Linear Reserve Park. These two and three bedroom homes will be the final opportunity to buy a Mirvac Home at Harcrest.

The sales success of the precinct demonstrates the established reputation of the Harcrest community, which was first launched in October 2010 and has generated more than $360 million in revenue to date.
Mirvac Group Executive, Residential, John Carfi, said the success of Harcrest can be attributed to purchasers understanding that a sense of community is equally as important as location and amenity when buying house and land.

“When the development is completed in 2017, Harcrest will be home to over 2,000 residents, growing the already thriving community that has embraced the vibrant local shopping centre, active community garden and abundant parkland facilities Mirvac has delivered,” he said.

“Harcrest has provided purchasers in Knox with affordable and diverse living options by offering a variety of lot sizes and home configurations, as well as exceptional views of the surrounding district and the Dandenong Ranges.

“With its commitment to sustainability, highly-sought after location and connectivity to the wider Melbourne and Knox area, Harcrest has proven its appeal to purchasers.”

Mirvac has aspired to set a benchmark for sustainable living at Harcrest, with the community embracing a range of green and energy efficient measures. A sustainable community garden is located in the centre of the development with an edible landscape, while water-sensitive urban design ensures the landscape remains irrigated all year round through water storage and reuse systems.

Seven hectares of public open space provides retreats and communal vegetable gardens for residents, with a lake and wetlands to come for the entire region to enjoy.
